About Ridgecrest Elementary

One of Pinellas County's best-kept secrets is that "gem of a school", Ridgecrest Elementary School and the Center for Gifted Studies. Nestled and nurtured at the northern end of 119th Street in Largo. Ridgecrest gives no hint of the extent and modern character of this unique facility. It sits in a quiet, unincorporated area just north of Ulmerton Road and south of Taylor Park.

Ridgecrest Elementary is home to approximately 439 students from kindergarten through fifth grade, plus full and part-time staff. With our considerably large volunteer base, this school community becomes an active center for learning and living.

Ridgecrest is a regular elementary with a zoned population. It is also home of The Center for Gifted Studies, a magnet program serving gifted students in a full-time gifted program. This program is part of the Magnet, Fundamental, and Career Academy options offered in the district. A computer lottery is held each spring for any openings for the next school year for qualifying students. Tours are provided each month for interested parents and others. These fill quickly. To make your reservation, call (727) 588-3580.
