Get ready for school!

The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 11, and we can’t wait to welcome students back to class!

Planning for Progress

Pinellas County Schools hosted a series of community meetings across the district to share school-specific data and gather feedback on population and enrollment trends, facility planning and school utilization.

Battle of the Books

Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade who love to read are welcome to join the Battle of the Books Club! A maximum of four students will make up a team, and they have to read five Sunshine State books. If there is more than one team, there will be a school battle between the teams to determine which one will compete in the district semi-finals against other schools. If the team wins the semi-finals, they go on to compete in the district final battle.

Exciting news! The 2026-2027 Sunshine State Book Award list has been announced!

We will share which five titles are chosen for the competition once they have been selected. In the meantime, families can get a jump start by exploring any of the books on the list at home—your child will be well-prepared no matter which titles are selected!
